Visit the Colorado Rail Museum to learn about the history of this region from the 1860s to present. This museum's mission is to acquire, preserve and exhibit railroad equipment, artifacts, and photographs emphasizing Rocky Mountain area railroads.
Georgetown Loop Railroad
This spectacular stretch of three-foot narrow gauge was considered an engineering marvel in its time.

Nestled at 9,318 feet, Silverton resides in the heart of the San Juan Mountain range. The former mining boomtown was designated a National HIstoric Landmark District in 1961. Enjoy some free time to explore the historic town, visit its many local galleries and stores, and have lunch on your own.
Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
"All aboard!" for a delightful trip through the Colorado Rockies between Silverton and Durango on one of the last narrow gauge railroads operating in the US. The rugged peaks, alpine meadows, and crystal lakes take you back to the early days of the West when mountain men searched this untouched land for traces of bear and mountain lion.
Durango's temperate climate and unique landscape features numerous entertainment opportunities that have something for even the most discerning tastes. Check out southwestern Colorado's cosmopolitan side when you experience all of the comforts and attractions that downtown Durango has to offer. Mesa Verde National Park
Travel to nearby Mesa Verde National Park for a day of exploration. Here you will visit cliff dwellings where the mysterious Anasazi once lived. Known as the "Ancient Ones" to the Navajo, the Anasazi lived in the Four Corners area almost a thousand years ago, then suddenly disappeared leaving behind their incredibly well-preserved dwellings. This is the nation's largest archeological preserve with 4,000 sights including 600 cliff dwellings. Spend some time in the Visitors Center with its large collection of ancient artifacts for an introduction to the ancient culture. A local expert will guide you through the most famous ruin sites with a stop at the Spruce Tree House Restaurant for lunch on own.

For air tours, only 1 piece of checked baggage is allowed. Airlines charge passengers for their first piece of checked baggage. This is payable by credit card at the airport.
Prices are estimated until 2022 airfare is confirmed. Air schedules will be determined 30 days prior to departure. Although we try, we cannot guarantee seating requests.
The deposit is $300 per person. The final payment is due by 5/27/2022.
Cancellation penalties: If cancellation occurs from booking date to 5/26/22, a $25.00 per person penalty will be assessed. If cancellation occurs between 5/27/22 and 9/10/22, the passenger is in full penalty and no refund will be granted. In addition to the cancellation polices listed above, if additional payments have been made to Starr for the purpose of securing your airline reservation, these monies are non-refundable once received. Any name changes after final payment is made will be assessed a per person change fee. The amount of the fee will be determined by the airline.

9/11/2022: Georgetown Train - Glenwood Springs, CO
This morning our first stop will be at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden. This museum's mission is to acquire, preserve and exhibit railroad equipment, artifacts, and photographs emphasizing Rocky Mountain area railroads. You will learn about the history of this region from the 1860s to present. After departing the museum, we are on our way to the town of Georgetown, nestled in the mountains, to take a journey on the historic Georgetown Loop Railroad. This spectacular stretch of 3-foot narrow gauge was considered an engineering marvel. Next, continue your journey through the Rockies for the scenic mountain town of Glenwood Springs and your overnight stay. This evening you may enjoy a soak in the local hot springs.
9/12/2022: Silverton - Durango Railroad
This morning, travel to the historic town of Silverton and enjoy some free time to explore the many shops and have lunch on your own. After your explorations, board the Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, one of the last such railroads operating in the United States. "All aboard!" for a delightful trip through the Colorado Rockies between Silverton and Durango. The rugged peaks, alpine meadows, and crystal lakes take you back to the early days of the West when mountain men searched this untouched land for traces of bear and mountain lion. Upon arrival in Durango re-board your motorcoach and check into your hotel for a 2 night stay with the rest of the day free to explore this fun western town on your own.
9/13/2022: Mesa Verde National Park

This morning depart for Pagosa Springs, Nestled in southwest Colorado, this is one of the state's last undiscovered gems. Known for its amazing hot springs, it offers healing waters and an enigmatic town. Stop for lunch as you travel to Royal Gorge Park & Bridge, where the world's highest suspension bridge towers 1,053 feet above the Arkansas River. Here you will have time to walk out on the bridge, have dinner on your own and explore other sights in the park.
9/15/2022: Canon City - Colorado Springs
Pack up your bags, partner, because today you are off on another adventure! This morning, board the Royal Gorge Route Railroad for a vintage train ride along the legendary Arkansas River deep within the Gorge. After lunch on-own in the town of Canon City, travel to Manitou Springs and take a ride on the Pikes Peak Cog Railway that climbs to the top of Pikes Peak. Looking at this famous peak, rising 12,110 feet above sea level, you will understand the meaning of "Rocky Mountain High!" This afternoon check into your hotel, but do not wander too far because tonight you will rejoin your fellow passengers for a farewell dinner.
After breakfast you will bid goodbye to Colorado and the Rocky Mountains as you transfer to the Denver International airport for your journey home.
