The visit includes the Visitor Center with its many touching exhibits, the Memorial Plaza with the Wall of Names of the 40 Heros of Flight 93, and a stop at the Tower of Voices, a 93-foot tall tower housing 40 windchimes that will ring in the breeze at Flight 93. The visit is self-guided with indoor and outdoor exhibits. Please be prepared for inclement weather. The Western Overlook is located on a very windy hillside. Most visitors find the site much colder than the surrounding area.
Flight 93 Memorial Chapel
The Flight 93 Memorial Chapel was dedicated on the first anniversary of 9/11 to honor God and the memory of the 40 heroes of Flight 93. In the chapel you see many moving mementos donated by family members and others who wish to honor the heroes. Hearts are touched as you visit the chapel and the Flight 93 Crew Monument in the garden area behind the chapel. Donated by United Airlines Flight Attendants Cause Foundation and dedicated on 9/11/2006, the monument entitled "Forever in Our Hearts" is a 16 ton black granite obelisk.
Quecreek Mine Rescue Site
Visit the Quecreek Mine Rescue Site where, on July 28, 2002 nine miners were miraculously rescued from 240 feet beneath the earth in a farmer's field just outside of Somerset, PA. Hear of the events from the time the accident occurred until the last miner was brought up and you will understand that God was at work here. The rescue site has been developed into a beautiful garden and you will see the actual rescue capsule, the broken drill bit and many more artifacts from the Quecreek rescue and mining in general in the Educational Visitor Center.

This hometown favorite contains memorabilia from the coal mining in the area and especially, the Quecreek Mine Rescue.
Patriot Park
Tens of thousands of brave men and women have been wounded, and over 7,000 have made the ultimate sacrifice in the Global War on Terrorism. Our Nation owes them a debt of gratitude we can never fully repaybut we can do all in our power to honor them. Patriot Park is a place where their sacrifices are remembered, and where Americans can gather to reflect and express their gratitude. The field of Heroes Flag Plaza drives home the magnitude of the loss as visitors gaze out over more than 7,000 perfectly spaced American flags. Visitors are humbled and often moved to tears as they read the stores of those who gave their lives protecting our way of life. You cannot visit Patriot Park without being motivated to honor the sacrifices of our GWOT veterans.
Fort Richie History Museum
The Fort Richie History Museum is proud to be able to preserve the legacy of over seventy years of military history from 1926 through 1998 including the now globally known Ritchie Boys of WWII.
