Stop #1 National Air & Space Museum

Visit the newly renovated Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum featuring the world's largest and most significant collection of aviation and space artifacts, encompassing all aspects of human flight.

***FREE TIMED ENTRY PASSES ARE REQUIRED.  Reservations can be made online https://airandspace.si.edu/  (for planning purposes, 10:00am is our expected arrival time).

 

United States Botanic Garden

Established by the U.S. Congress is 1820, the United States Botanical Garden is one of the oldest botanic gardens in North America. Through the Conservatory, National Garden, and Bartholdi Park, the Garden informs visitors about the importance and fundamental value and diversity of plants, as well as their aesthetic, cultural, economic, therapeutic and ecological significance. With over a million visitors annually, the USBG strives to demonstrate and promote sustainable practices. The U.S. Botanic Garden is a living plant museum accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The Garden offers a variety of exhibits, tours, and programs for visitors of all ages.

Stop #2 National Gallery of Art

The National Gallery of Art, one of the world's preeminent museums, preserves, collects, exhibits, and fosters the understanding of works of art at the highest possible museum and scholarly standards. The Gallery's collection includes some 141,000 paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, sculpture, decorative arts, and new media tracing the development of Western art from the Middle Ages to the present.

Stop #3 National Museum of American History/Museum of Natural History

 

National Museum of American History

The National Museum of American History collects, preserves, and displays the heritage of the United States in the areas of social, political, cultural, scientific, and military history. Among the items on display is the original Star Spangled Banner. Through research, in-depth exhibits, extensive collections and public outreach, the museum presents America's history in all of its complexity. The museum's collection features more than three million artifacts, from Dorothy's ruby slippers in The Wizard of Oz to sheet music written by DC legend Duke Ellington.

 

Museum of Natural History

Visit the world's largest natural history museum. Highlights include the 45.5-carat Hope Diamond, Ocean Hall, Mammals Hall, Hall of Human Origins, Insect Zoo, dinosaurs, and the magnificent African bush elephant in the museum's rotunda. The Butterfly Pavilion features hundreds of live butterflies.

 

National Museum of African American History & Culture

The National Museum of African American History and Culture is a place where all Americans can learn about the richness and diversity of the African American experience, what it means to their lives and how it helped us shape this nation.
