Overlooking the Hudson River, Lyndhurst is one of America's finest Gothic Revival mansions. It was built for William Paulding, Mayor of New York City in the 1830's. The mansion features a fine collection of Victorian decorative arts and picturesque landscaped grounds. A gift shop and restrooms are available.
The Vanderbilt Estate in Hyde Park, New York is perhaps the best, most intact example of the types of estates constructed by wealthy industrialists in the 19th century. The fully furnished, 54-room mansion is situated in a wondrous landscape with breathtaking views of the Hudson River and distant Catskill Mountains. It offers a glimpse into a past world known by only an elite few. The tour consists of the first, second, and basement floors of the mansion.
The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site resides in Hyde Park, NY, overlooking the majestic Hudson River. "Springwood" was President Franklin D. Roosevelt's birthplace and lifelong residence. The interior remains furnished exactly as it was during FDR's lifetime. West Point Academy is an active-duty military post, therefore all guests 18 years of age and older are required to submit ID information which West Point security will use to run a background check. Informtation needed for the security clearance are: Full Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Government-Issued ID type (Driver's License, DMV ID, Military ID, Passport), ID number, and State/Country of Issue. All guests must present this same original ID the day of the tour (no photocopies) for entry onto the post. Note: Children will not need an ID, however all of the above information will be needed (Full Name, DOB, and Gender).

Vanderbilt Mansion: Vanderbilt Mansion is accessible; however the elevator in the mansion is historic and frequently needs servicing. There are 62 steps to climb from the entrance way to the second floor and then back down to the basement.
